The tour begins in New Brunswick, NJ, and will continue for the rest of the year in selected US cities. In the beginning the shows are dark and gloomy, focusing on the new material and completely ignoring the old hits.

January 1996

The tour continues in the US and Canada. This month also sees two movie premieres featuring Bruce songs. Sean Penn's movie The Crossing Guard includes the 1994 outtake "Missing" while Tim Robbins' Dead Man Walking has Bruce writing the title track.

The solo acoustic tour moves to Europe starting in Frankfurt, Germany.

March 3 1996

Blood Brothers, the movie from the Greatest Hits session, is shown on TV for the first time in the US. The movie will be aired in several countries over the next months.

Bruce interrupts his European tour to go back to the States and perform "Dead Man Walkin'" at the Oscars. The song, though nominated, does not win the Oscar.
