A nervous and emotional Bruce performs at two Christic Institute benefit shows along with Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt. The shows are solo acoustic and rank among Bruce's very best despite his nervousness.

The Human Touch album is practically complete and ready for a December release, but having just written and recorded one more song, "Living Proof", Bruce hits a prolific vein and continues recording what will become the Lucky Town album.

At the Stone Pony in New Jersey Bruce gets together with his old pals Little Steven, Jon Bon Jovi and Southside Johnny to film a live video for "It's Been a Long Time" to be released on Southside's new album.
December 30 1991
Bruce and Patti's second child, Jessica Rae, is born. The birth is announced by Little Steven to millions of TV viewers during his New Year's Eve performance on Time Square.

Human Touch and Lucky Town are released on the same day backed by a huge marketing campaign.

Bruce begins the work of assembling a new touring band. It will eventually consist of Roy Bittan (keyboards), Shane Fontayne (guitar), Tommy Sims (bass), Zachary Alford (drums) and later on the singers Bobby King, Crystal Taliefero, Carol Dennis, Angel Rogers, Cleo Kennedy, Gia Ciambotti, and sometimes Patti Scialfa.
