The final leg of the acoustic tour commences in Vienna, Austria.

May 9-10 1997

Bruce performs in Poland for the first time with two shows in Warsaw.

May 12 1997

Bruce performs in Prague, Czech Republic, for the first time and meets with Czech President Havel.

May 22 1997

After his show in Naples, Bruce appears on the theater's balcony and performs "Thunder Road" to the waiting crowd.

May 25-26 1997

The tour ends with two shows in Paris. After its start in 1995 it has gone from dark and gloomy to more of a loose, cheerful atmosphere with Bruce sometimes almost acting like a stand up comedian.

September 4 1997

Bruce performs with the Wallflowers at the MTV Video Awards in Los Angeles.

Fall 1997

Bruce is working on a new folkish album, which will be shelved until much of the material is dusted off and used on the Devils & Dust album ten years later.

December 7 1997

With President Clinton in attendance, Bruce performs "The Times They Are 'a-Changing" at the Kennedy Center Honors in tribute to Bob Dylan.

January 31 1998

Bruce performs at the "Come Together" show in Red Bank, NJ, a benefit for slain police officer, Patrick King. The show has been arranged by Jon Bon Jovi and features a host of New Jersey artists, including Southside Johnny, Little Steven, Bobby Bandiera, Clarence Clemons, Max Weinberg, Patti Scialfa, and others.
