Three tour premieres in rowdy Pittsburgh show
Published 2002-12-05
A stunning set of nine encore songs, including two tour premieres, wrapped up last night's show in Pittsburgh. But first Bruce had introduced "Youngstown" in a new acoustic arrangement featuring Soozie Tyrell's violin. For the encores, Bruce as usual in the Steelers city dragged out his old pal Joe Grushecky on stage for. Together they did "Code of Silence" (co-written by Grushecky) and "Glory Days". But Bruce was far from done. Before the show was over he had also pulled out "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" for the first, but probably not last time in 2002.
