On August 25 Accent Publishing will publish a new book about the Asbury Park music scene. The book is called Local heroes - Asbury Park, NJ and was written by two Swedish authors, Anders Martensson and photographer Jorgen Johansson. They have interviewed several of the old pesonalities of the Jersey Shore music scene including Garry Tallent, Vini Lopez, Bobby Bandiera... and Greasy Lake's own David J. Mieras, also known as Hazy David. According to the publisher, the book "sheds new light on a magical music scenes history and tries to take a look at it's future". The August 25 release date coincide with the 30th anniversary of Born to Run.
