The tragic attack on the World Trade Center has spurred countless of tales of heroism and human kindness. One of the most moving ones to all Springsteen fans happened last week when Bruce sent a video tape of himself playing "Thunder Road" to the funeral of a fan, Jim, who was killed in one of the collapsed buildings. On the tape Bruce dedicated the song to the fan's children telling them that it was their father's favorite song. Prior to the funeral Bruce had spoken with Jim's wife on the phone, and obviously the conversation must have made a deep impression on him.
