Little Steven Van Zandt is one of the rock stars who will appear in a new documentary about promotor Sid Bernstein's life and career. Sid's achievements include bringing Ray Charles and James Brown into mainstream venues. His desire to cross racial lines led him to be the first white promoter at the Apollo Theater. Sid Bernstein also brought the first bands of the British invasion to America, most notably the Beatles and Rolling Stones, but also Moody Blues, The Animals, The Kinks, and many more. The movie is called Sid Bernstein Presents and was directed by Jason Ressler and Evan Strome.
