The evidence is better than any medical record: last night during a concert in Helsinki, Finland, Bruce lost his mind. After officially ending the show with "American Land", Bruce ordered the band to play "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town". Yes, the guy we have worshipped all those years is playing Christmas songs in July, breaking his old record by more than 1? months (September 1, 1985). Clearly, years of regular touring has gone to his head and he is no longer aware of where he is and in what season. Apparently he's also lost his ability to count. The handwritten setlists usually include 24-25 songs, but last night in Helsinki didn't stop till 31 songs had been played and more than three hours had passed. We are looking at a show which is getting close to a full hour longer than when the tour started in October. To those of you who haven't seen the tour yet or haven't seen it since last year: do not miss this! Bruce and the band are at their absolute peak right now.
