Count Basie benefit to be broadcast on TV and web

Local TV network CN8, which can be viewed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland and on the Internet, appears to be planning to broadcast the October 19 benefit show live. Check out their program schedule. In other news about the October 18 and 19 shows, Bruce is rumored to have written a song specifically about the WTC attacks that he will play at the Basie shows, but it could very well just be "My City in Ruins".
