Published 2004-10-28
This afternoon Bruce Springsteen made his first appearance on the campaign trail with John Kerry in Madison, Wisconsin. He was introduced by Governor of Wisconsin Jim Doyle and proceeded to perform an acoustic version of "The Promised Land" in front of the 80,000 gathered Kerry supporters. He then spoke for a few minutes about why he supports John Kerry's candidacy before launching into "No Surrender". Before leaving the stage he introduced John Kerry who repaid in his speech by joking that even though he was running for president, Bruce would always be the real Boss. Bruce is expected to do a couple more appearances with Kerry, including on election night.
