The biggest surprise of last night's show at the Continental Airlines Arena was the return of "Spirit in the Night" and "Independence Day", none of which has been played since Barcelona. Another surprise was that "Independence Day" appeared as a replacement for "The River". This was the first time "The River" wasn't played on this tour. Attendees at the upcoming shows might expect to hear "Racing in the Street" and "She's the One" since they were on the written set list last night, but weren't played. The show was two songs shorter than the usual 26. Is Bruce already getting tired?
