Sweden has always been one of Bruce Springsteen's strongholds in the world since he performed there for the first time since 1975. Still, it was almost 30 years before the country got its first big Bruce convention. The event will take place on October 9, 2004, and will be located at Folkets Hus in Stockholm. In the afternoon there will be lectures, documentaries, an auction, and much more. And in the evening you can dance to live cover bands as well as recorded music. Campaigning for the Tillie face on Palace Amusement in Asbury Park did not end when the popular face was saved from demolition when the rest of the building was torn down. Amanda Hayden, a 15-year-old schoolgirl from New Jersey is now trying to have the face decorate a postal stamp. She has started a non-profit group and a website dedicated to have the image of Tillie immortalized on a stamp and thereby save a little bit of Americana. You can read about the campaign and sign the petition at www.tilliestamp.org. Read more

As most of you have probably heard, Bruce's involvement in the Vote For Change tour wasn't many days old before a "bocott Bruce Springsteen" campaign saw the light of day. Bruce, who hasn't been boycotted since the "American Skin" controversy in 2000, didn't give in to the boycotters' demands and is still on the bill for the October Vote For Change shows. Read more
