Despite many rumors and speculation lately, Bruce may have decided to skip the holiday shows this year. Instead he is allegedly planning to spend time at Brendan O'Brien's recording studio in Atlanta laying the foundation for a new E Street Band album. The band itself isn't scheduled to show up in the studio until early next year when they will add their instruments to the new songs, which according to plan should be ready for release by spring with a new tour to follow. None of this information has been officially confirmed, and even if it's true, it may still be subject to change. Read more

With Vote For Change and the election ending now, the question all fans ask themselves is what will Bruce's next step be? According to a usually very well-informed source, the plan at this point is to do at least two Holiday Shows in Asbury Park. Then next year Bruce will try to have some new music out by spring or summer with an E Street tour to follow. A tour, however, may happen even if no new album is released since, according to the source, it may be the last chance for Bruce to tour with the E Street Band as we know it. Clarence's declining health and Max Weinberg possibly getting the gig as the Tonight Show band leader when Conan O'Brien replaces Jay Leno in five years, could mean that they will no longer be able to tour. Only time will tell, but a good advice would be to start saving up for next summer. Read more

This afternoon Bruce Springsteen made his first appearance on the campaign trail with John Kerry in Madison, Wisconsin. He was introduced by Governor of Wisconsin Jim Doyle and proceeded to perform an acoustic version of "The Promised Land" in front of the 80,000 gathered Kerry supporters. He then spoke for a few minutes about why he supports John Kerry's candidacy before launching into "No Surrender". Before leaving the stage he introduced John Kerry who repaid in his speech by joking that even though he was running for president, Bruce would always be the real Boss. Bruce is expected to do a couple more appearances with Kerry, including on election night. Read more
