July 12: The opening show at the Continental Airlines Arena on Thursday will be covered live by New Jersey Online from start to finish. The coverage will consist of still-pictures and written commentary. It will also be possible to write e-mails to the reporters and chat with other fans as the show progresses. Bruce played with Joe G.

Bruce jumped on stage last night at Cheers in Long Branch, NJ, to perform four songs with his long-time pal Joe Grushecky at his solo acoustic show. The songs were: "Never Be Enough Time", "Brown Eyed Girl", "Pumping Iron", and "Talking to the King". Before leaving on his motorbike the crowd shouted "See you on Thursday" referring to the upcoming premiere show at the Continental Arena. Bruce answered with a "Yeah, see you on Thursday" and rode off into the night. Read more
   

Back catalogue to be reissued

According to Backstreets, Bruce's back catalogue has now been digitally remastered and is scheduled to be released in the near future. The first batch of the limited edition series will be out on August 21 and will include the first six albums up till and including Nebraska. The rest of the albums will follow later. The remastered albums were also scheduled for release in the spring, but were cancelled. Read more
   

New cover album

CMH Records will release a new CD with Bruce Springsteen covers in their Pickin On series. The series features bluegrass versions of well-known hits from artists and bands such as Bob Dylan, the Beatles and now Bruce. The album scheduled for August 24. Read more
   

Bruce on VH1

VH1 has announced that they will live-broadcast the first two songs of Bruce's opening show in New Jersey on July 15. The Bruce night will start out with a re-run of the Legends documentary at 7:30 pm and then, as soon as the show starts, they will switch over to the Continental Airline Arena for the live transmission. Since nobody knows for sure when exactly Bruce's shows begin, you'd better not move away from the TV screen. Read more

Standard finale

The European tour ended last night in Oslo, Norway, with a standard show set list-wise. But the soundcheck featured "Every Time You Walk in the Room", "Heart Full of Soul" and "Something in the Night" with one of Bruce's kids adding vocals (the future of rock 'n' roll?) Bruce and the band has now returned to the States for a well-deserved break until the US tour kicks off in New Jersey on July 15. Read more
   

"Fire" in Stockholm

Bruce went through an impromptu version of "Fire" at the second show in Stockholm. During the band introductions in "Tenth Avenue", Garry Tallent did the famous "Fire" riff. Bruce picked it up and sang the entire song before carrying on with the band introductions. The show also featured "Loose Ends" and "Downbound Train". Read more
   

Wet Copenhagen show

47,000 fans at Parken in Copenhagen were drenched by the rain as Bruce and the band played the second to last show of the European tour. The rain made Bruce open with "Who'll Stop the Rain?" (tour premiere), but that didn't help. The rain just continued and Bruce made several comments about it to the soaking audience. He also dedicated "The Ghost of Tom Joad" and "Streets of Philadelphia" to a local AIDS organization. The show featured another tour premiere besides "Who'll Stop the Rain?": "Because the Night" was performed for the first time since 1993. See the complete set list here. Read more
   

Evil rumor circulating

Word has it that Bruce is planning to record a duet with Baby Spice of Spice Girls. The rumor was printed in a British newspaper and repeated on BBC radio. According to the newspaper Baby Spice was seen backstage at one of the Earls Court shows. Hopefully that's all there is to it. A Bruce/Baby Spice duet is not what the world needs at this point.
