If you're one of the lucky ticket holders for one or both of U2's show at the Continental Airlines Arena in New Jersey this week, you may be in for a little extra treat. At least according to a few east coast radio stations. They are reporting that not only Bruce, but also Little Steven are set for an appearance. While this shouldn't be taken as more than a loose rumor, it would seem logical. Bruce may feel he owes Bono a little favor after Bono inducted Bruce into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 1999. The Live in New York City DVD is almost as good as certain. No offiicial press release has been issued, but according to Backstreets, Best Buy stores in America are showing a promo film for the DVD with a "Coming soon" tagline. In the meantime, some CD stores in Australia are already taking pre-orders, and customers have been told that the DVD will be out in three weeks. While this is probably a bit too good to be true, it shows that something is definitely happening and that the release may not be too far away. Read more

The Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is set for demolition in 2004 when it will be replaced by a brand new arena in Newark. After a couple of weeks of hibernation we're now back in business with all the latest Bruce news. As you all know by now, Bruce jammed with Southside Johnny at the Stone Pony Landing on Sunday May 27 (read more on for example Backstreets' site), but other than that, it's been very quiet. All talk of the Live in New York City DVD has subsided for now, but we still believe it will be out by fall at the latest. Also, still no word on a new studio release, but we must assume this has a very high priority with Bruce, so there is bound to be some news on that front as well within the next months. Read more
