The first show at the MCI Center in Washington DC continued in the same vein as the Boston shows with "The Ties That Bind" and "Adam Raised a Cain" in the opening slots. Altogether, the setlist was pretty standard, but surprises are bound to turn up during the next two shows. Complete setlist. Read more

For what seems to be the first time on the tour, Bruce gave an interview to the press during the Boston stand. The interview appeared in yesterday's issue and leaves the impression of a man happy about being back with the E Street Band and overwhelmed by the response the tour has received. One tour premiere and reprises of "Candy's Room" and "New York City Serenade" were the score after last night's show in Boston. The tour premiere occurred when Peter Wolf joined Bruce on stage for "Raise Your Hand", which has not been played since 1988's Amnesty tour. Other noteworthy changes included "Jungleland" as the first encore and the fact that "If I Should Fall Behind" was not played before "Land of Hope and Dreams", but two songs earlier. With 26 songs, the show was the longest so far on the US tour. Complete setlist. Read more

With 25 songs the show also became one of the longest on the US tour so far. Complete setlist. Read more

Perhaps there was some truth to it since most people seem to agree the second night was a notch better than the first. The set featured "Adam Raised a Cain" in the opening slot and "Loose Ends" after "Tenth Avenue". "Light of Day" now has a piece of "Diddy Wah Diddy" in the middle section. Setlist. Read more
