Readers elect Bruce Artist of the Year

Bruce is the big winner in Rolling Stone's annual readers' poll that is published in the new issue. He's won the categories "Album of the Year", "Artist of the Year", "Best tour", and "Most Welcome Comeback" and came in second in the "Best Male Performer" category. He didn't fare quite as well in the critic's poll where he only took the "Best Tour" category. Read more
   

Bruce to do solo benefit

Ya got a few thousand Dollars to spare? Well, what better way to spend it than on a dinner with Bruce and Patti followed by a private show by the two? That's exactly what's going to happen on February 20 in Somerville Theatre in Massachussetts. Ticket prices range from $1000 to $5000, and the evening will benefit Doubletake Magazine, which is in need of new funding to survive. Sony in Australia has decided to release "Waitin' on a Sunny Day" as a single down under. According to Backstreets the single is not yet planned for release in any other countries, but a live video culled from the Barcelona show is expected. Read more
   

"The Fuse" remixed for movie

Spike Lee's new movie, 25h Hour, features a remixed version of "The Fuse" during the closing credits. And no, don't worry, we're not talking about a dance mix or anything like that. The vocals are more up front and the overall mix is somewhat different, but no new layers have been added. Unfortunately, the remix won't be included on the soundtrack album. Read more

More summer dates rumored

It looks like Bruce will be back in the North America with full force in the summer. 9 dates at the Continental Airlines Arena have allegedly already been confirmed, but cities like Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Buffalo, Washington DC, and Toronto can expect revisits, and of course Hartford won't be cheated. We don't know exactly when the shows will take place, but it will most likely be in the high summer. More info as we get it. Read more
   

Good news for thirsty Bruce fans

Bruce has inspired a lot of hopeful entrepreneurs over the years with more or less imaginative ideas. The latest such endeavour we've come across is Tenth Avenue Productions that specializes in hand-painted drinking glasses with motives inspired by rock lyrics. Their first line features a series of four glasses with images and lyrics taken from The Wild, The Innocent & the E Street Shuffle.
