After the two Manchester shows, Bruce and the band flew back to the States for a two
week break. They will be back in Europe on May 16 for a new stretch of shows. The
Manchester shows this weekend didn't feature any new additions to the repetoire although
songs like "Don't Look Back", "Trouble River" and "Hearts of Stone" were allegedly on the
written set list, but weren't played. Read more

Bruce can't get tired of Europe. Today two more shows have been added. As usual
Germany got one more, at the B. Placher Stadion in Leipzig on June 13, and Italy got one on
June 11 at the Marassi Stadium in Genova which holds 20-35,000 people. Nothing against
Germans, but it's pretty amazing that Germany gets nine shows on one tour when Finland has
never gotten as much as one show on any tour. Read more

No, this is not a correction of what was played in Zurich, just to let you know that the actual
set list that was handed out to the band and sound people included "Atlantic City", "Cynthia"
and "Racing in the Street". Apparently Bruce chickened out and played standard songs on all
three spots. Well, hopefully they will appear later on the tour. Read more

If you only look at the set lists of Bruce's shows these days, the sound checks seems to be
more exciting than the shows. Last night the band rehearsed "Seven Angels" and "Hearts of
Stone", but the show itself featured a standard set with no new additions. However, we have
an account from Pierre who makes a strong point that this show was among the best on the
tour so far. Oh, and Jon Bon Jovi joined if anyone cares :-). Read more

Is Bruce tired already? The two latest shows in Vienna and Zurich have featured a couple of
songs less than before. We don't know if the length in minutes have equally shortened, but
usually the shows get longer and longer during the tour. Anyway, Bruce premiered
"Dolhouse" in Vienna whereas Zurich didn't have any new songs. Still, it was probably great. Read more

We have a source telling us that Bruce rehearsed "Meeting Across the River" before the first
Milan show. This song has not been played since 1978, so let's hope it makes a real
appearance soon. Read more

The two extra Scandinavian shows in Oslo and Copenhagen respectively sold out in a matter
of hours proving that Bruce made a mistake by not including these cities at first. Copenhagen
will be the second largest show in Europe with 47,000 sold tickets, only 3,000 smaller than
Madrid. Well, before the Danish readers get too excited size does not matter when it comes
to Bruce. The bonehead factor is bound to be high. Read more

After a break, the Greasy Lake news page is back in business. We apologize for the long
absence and hope to be able to update more regularly from now on (except we will be gone
for a few more shows later on). While we've been gone 15 shows have been added in New
Jersey (see our tour schedule below) which were all sold out in just one day! With these
shows Bruce will have played for more than one million people at the Continental Airlines
Arena, formerly known as the Brendan Byrne Arena, since 1981. Read more
