Movie site Dark Horizons reports that Bruce is expected to donate a song to the upcoming Nicholas Cage movie Gone in Sixty Seconds. No word on whether it's a new song or an old one. Speaking of that, a rumor suggests that he allowed two young New Jersey filmmakers to use one of his songs for a movie called A Million Miles, but this has not been verified by anyone. And finally on the movie front, Bruce was not nominated for an Oscar for "Lift Me Up", so no need to stay up for that. Read more

   

Online music site Launch.com has published what they believe to be a complete list of all the Madison Square Garden shows. In addition to the ones that have already been confirmed they are: June 23, 26, 27 and 29 plus July 1. According to Launch tickets for all 10 shows will go onsale simultaneously on March 4. Phildelphia rocker Mike Wurtele, also known as Mike Rocket, has released his debut album, The Time Has Reached the Future. Mike Rocket has so far been known mostly for his striking similarity with Bruce, but with his solo album he is now making his name known as an artist in his own right. If you want to be sure to get tickets to one of Bruce's shows this spring, Little Rock, Arkansas, is the place to go. So far only 5,000 tickets have been sold, according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. According to the same newspaper Bruce in 1976 vowed never to play Arkansas again after one of his shows there only sold 600 tickets. Read more

Little Steven will show up twice tomorrow night, Thursday, on Scandinavian TV Channels. First Danish TV2 will show the first episode of the Sopranos and a little later he will appear as a guest on Late Night with Luuk on Swedish TV4. The latter program should be a good laugh if it's anything near as embarrassing as when the same Luuk interviewed Bruce in 1998. Read more

   

In a quiet ceremony last week "Big" Bobby Williams was put to rest in New Jersey. Bobby Williams played drums in one of Bruce's early bands, Dr. Zoom & the Sonic Boom and was part of the Jersey Shore music scene. Bruce was among the few people present to pay their respect along with Vini Lopez and others. Read more

   

Only a little over a year after its release "Sad Eyes" has become one of Bruce's most covered songs. First Enrique Iglesias released it on his debut album, and now country singer Trisha Yearwood will include a cover of it on her new album Real Live Woman, which will be released on March 30. Bruce Springsteen, Shania Twain, Elton John and Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts have signed on as sponsors for an auction to benefit cancer patients. The seventh annual Kristen Ann Carr Fund Winter Semi-Formal will be held Feb. 26 at the 200 Fifth Club in New York. Among the items up for bid are a guitar autographed by Springsteen and artwork signed by Carlos Santana and Sarah McLachlan. While tickets for many of the upcoming US shows go on sale tomorrow, fans planning on attending some or all of the Madison Square Garden shows will have to wait two more weeks. And they better pay attention, because as was the case with last summer's New Jersey shows, the five shows planned at this point may quickly turn into more. Bruce may have up to 12 dates reserved at Madison Square Garden, and tickets will probably go on sale as the first shows are sold out. Read more
