Night one in Hartford featured what seemed more like a second-night setlist. Many of the first-night stables were absent and a number of lesser played songs were performed. Highlights included the second performance of "Human Touch" on the tour and "Growin' Up" for the first time since November. See the setlist. Read more

If the first night in Toronto was standard, Bruce pulled out all the stops on the second night. "Don't Look Back" "Incident on 57th Street", an acoustic "No Surrender" and an altogether incredibly inspired performance proved that second night is usually better. See this amazing setlist. Read more

Not much to say about last night's show in Toronto from a setlist point-of-view. A standard show if there ever was one, but probably still kicking a lot of Canadian butt. See the setlist. Read more

A very loose and upbeat show in Cincinnati saw the tour premiere of "Dancing in the Dark". But it wasn't the well-known pop version of yore, but a new folk arrangement complete with steel guitar and upright bass. Other highlights included "Stand On It" and a quite different vocal style on "Born in the USA", which also included the line "25 years burning down the road" to mark the 25th anniversary of the retreat from Saigon). On a different note, during "Tenth Avenue" someone threw a bra onstage that landed on Bruce's head. The expression on his face must have been worth the price of admission. See the complete setlist. One 2000 premiere and several rare songs was the score after last night's show, the second in Pittsburgh. The premiere was "Loose Ends", which hasn't been played since August 22, and the rarities included "Adam Raised a Cain", "Trapped", "Point Blank" and "Back in Your Arms". Joe Grushecky once again took the stage with Bruce, this time for "Hungry Heart". The 24-song set ended with "Ramrod". Here's the setlist. Read more

The tour was more than 100 shows old when the first track from Human Touch was performed. The title track popped up after "Tenth Avenue" after having been soundchecked on several occasions in the past. The show was also graced with Patti's return (although don't count on this being her last break) and a guest appearance by Joe Grushecky on Grushecky's own "Idiot's Delight". Before the show Bruce soundchecked a country version of "Dancing in the Dark" plus "A Good Man Is Hard To Find (Pittsburgh)". Neither made it into the show although the latter would have been fitting. See the setlist. Read more

For only the second time on the US tour, the band performed "Lucky Town", and a blistering version it was, according to those who saw it with Nils and Bruce trading guitar licks. Other surprises included "Dead Man Walking" for the second night in a row and a rare "Point Blank". Bruce's cousin Frankie guested on "Hungry Heart", and "Light of Day" included a snippet of "Double Shot of My Baby's Love". Complete setlist. Read more

An alleged "good source" is saying that five more shows will be added to the ten that have already been announced at Madison Square Garden in New York. No word on dates yet. All we can say is that there is not room for five more shows to be added prior to the already announced shows, so if this is true it looks like July 1 may not be the last date anyway. But don't count on anything just yet. Read more

For the first time since September 28 Bruce pulled out "Something in the Night" at last night's show in Charlotte. The song was played at a request from Steve. The other surprise last night was the inclusion of "Dead Man Walkin'" for the second time on the tour. Patti was again absent. This seems to become sometehing we just have to live with. See the complete setlist. Read more

Patti was on stage in both Austin and Houston and thus once again made any speculation regarding her participation in the band unnecessary. She has apparantly had some private business to take care of, or been sick. From our perspective there doesnt' seem to be any reason to worry. Read more
