So far it's just a rumor, although a very persistant one: Bruce's show in Barcelona on October 16 will be broadcast live on VH1. Unfortunately, we can't say anything about whether it will be the complete show or just a few songs, or if it's going to happen at all. Read more

It should be certain. Michael Parkinson has landed the greatest fish of all for his talk show on BBC television: Bruce Springsteen. We can't say when it will air yet. We have heard both September 27 and when Bruce is in England next month. Since the Sept. 11 attacks last year, people's willingness to help the victims have taken many forms and shapes. One of the more spectacular initiatives can now be seen and purchased on eBay's auction site. A woman in Oregon has quilted a wall hanging inspired by Bruce's song "My City of Ruins". And not only that, the quilt was signed by both Bruce and the band after their show in Portland. Read more

While The Rising is still clinging to a top 5 position on the most recent Billboard top 200, some radio stations in the US have started to introduce "Mary's Place" as the next single from the album. However, other radio stations have officially "added" "Lonesome Day" to their playlist. This usually does not happen unless a single is expected. We don't have any official confirmation on either scenario, but will let you know as soon as we hear anything. Read more

A good six months before the awards will take place, The Rising is already mentioned as one of the favorites in the "best album" category. In an article on www.calendarlive.com various music experts predict a sure victory for Bruce and his new album. Only threat so far would be Eminem. Read more

Even though he wasn't nominated in any category, Bruce with the E Street Band played at last night's MTV Video Music Awards. They opened the show with an energetic version of "The Rising" performed from an outdoor stage set up at the American Museum of Natural History whereas the rest of the awards show was broadcast from the Radio City Music Hall. Why Bruce didn't use the same stage as everybody else is not known to us, but it did give him the opportunity to offer the gathered fans a little extra when he proceeded to play a mini-concert after the cameras were turned off. 16,000 tickets for Bruce show at the Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, sold out in only 25 minutes. Fans who tried to get tickets from abroad were in for a disappointment as tickets were only available for people inside Sweden. Tickets for Berlin will go on sale this next Saturday. Read more
