There were less than 8,000 people in attendance out of a capacity of 13,000 at Tuesday's show in Little Rock, Arkansas. But Bruce took his revenge on everybody who didn't show up by blowing the roof off the building in a 23 song set. And for the first time since 1974, he performed "Mary Queen of Arkansas" in an acoustic version which must have left a few mouths open in disbelief. See the complete setlist. Read more

For the second time this year, the show continued beyond "Land of Hope and Dreams" when Bruce added "Cadillac Ranch" to the encores in Dallas. Apart from that the setlist was pretty unremarkable, but check it out for yourself. You can also read what the Dallas Morning News had to say. Read more

Bruce seems to have gotten a weakness for Tunnel of Love. After US tour debuting "Brilliant Disguise" at the first Ft. Lauderdale show, the same thing happened with "Tougher Than the Rest" at last night's show. Also, "My Hometown" and "Meeting Across the River" had their 2000 premieres. Among the soundchecked songs were "Lucky Town" and "Human Touch". See the complete setlist here. Read more

For the first time on the US tour Bruce pulled out "Brilliant Disguise" at last night's show in Ft. Lauderdale. The show opened for the first time this year with "Don't Look Back", but was otherwise a standard show from a setlist point of view. See it here. Read more

The first of Bruce's four shows in Florida had a couple of lesser played songs, but probably nothing that would raise the eyebrow of a cynical veteran concert goer. The show opened with "My Love..." and included "Trapped" and an impromptu "She's the One" requested by a fan with a sign. See the complete setlist. Read more

To the best of our knowledge, Microsoft in Denmark have rendered themselves guilty of misusing "Born to Run" at the release party for the Danish version of their new operating system, Windows 2000. At the party, which took place last Wednesday, the song was used in connection with the presentation, just as the words "born to run" were used as a slogan. As far as we know neither Bruce nor his management have given Microsoft permission to use the song. This would have been a severe breach of the principles Bruce has always maintained and something which would have seriously damaged his relationship with his fans. You can write to Microsoft Denmark and demand an explanation here. Read more

The new leg of the tour got off to a fine start with the State College show last night. The reactions we've received suggest a typical show for a first night, solid, but with a little "playing it safe" attitude. The set list supports this with only one surprise in that "Lion's Den" had its US premiere and was performed in the opening slot. See Ed Saadi's eyewitness account and the complet set list. Read more

Three new covers of some of Bruce's songs will see the light of day shortly. Alternative country band Marah will use a fast version of "Streets of Philadelphia" as a bonus song on a new single, and Italian blue-colar rock band the Groovers will include not one, but two songs by Bruce Springsteen on their upcoming album to be released in April. The songs are "Factory" and "Stolen Car". Read more

Surprise, surprise! Bruce did not win a Grammy in the Male Rock Vocal Performance category at the 42nd Grammy Awards ceremony last night. Bruce was nominated with "The Promise" from 18 Tracks, but was beat by Lenny Kravitz and his cover of "American Woman". Oh, and Brave Combo won the Polka category with their album Polkasonic...
