Yes, it's time for tour rumors again. Two years after the Reunion Tour ended in New York City, it's heating up again. Six days in September are being held at the First Union Center in Philadelphia for an as yet unknown artist, and employees at the venue speculate that it could be Springsteen. Other tour rumors suggest that the tour could kick off in Boston, maybe as early as August, just as venues in the North West are said to be under consideration for shows around September. Yesterday it was a Belgium newspaper. Today it was Bruce himself who confirmed it: on a trip to London to a meeting with Sony UK, he said that a tour would start this fall in the US followed shows in selected European cities before Christmas and a more extensive European tour next year. Read more

According to Belgium newspaper, De Standaard, Bruce will follow the release of his new album with a public relations tour in August around the world doing interviews for various news medias. Also, according to the same newspaper, a TV concert is planned for that period. But most important, the newspaper goes on to say that a world tour is set to start in the US in the fall and will continue in Japan and Australia early next year and with summer shows following in Europe. Earlier today Shorefire Media issued a press release announcing Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band's 's new studio album. As expected the album will be out on July 30 and will contain the following songs: Lonesome Day, Into the Fire, Waitin' on a Sunny Day, Nothing Man, Countin' on a Miracle, Empty Sky, Worlds Apart, Let's Be Friends, Further on (Up the Road), The Fuse, Mary's Place, You're Missing, The Rising, Paradise, My City of Ruins. While the announcement of the new album is a bit longer in coming than expected, rumors now indicate that there may be a 15th song added to the lineup of songs posted elsewhere on this page. The song is allegedly called "Empty Sky". Meanwhile, the album has been played at at least one listening party for Sony executives, and reports from those who heard the album are glowing with enthusiasm. August 16 could be another landmark day in Asbury Park music history as the "Sounds of Asbury Park" concert is shaping up. The August 16 date is still tentative, but according to one of the organizers, Stone Pony owner, Dominique Santana, both Bruce and Jon Bon Jovi have been invited to perform. In a telephone interview on WMMM in Wisconsin Little Steven said an announcement regarding the new Springsteen album could be expected "within a week or two". With E Street Band members until now having almost denied that a release was imminent, this is certainly new tones. Read more
