For the first time on the tour, the show did not start with the title track from The Rising. Instead Bruce opened his Cincinnati show with "American Skin" as his comment to a controversy in the city regarding police racism and dedicated it to "the people and organizations in the city that are working for a just Cincinnati and a just America". The show was the first after Clarence underwent eye surgery and also featured "I'm a Rocker" by request. Read more

The "Lonesome Day" single slated for release on November 25 has had its track lineup changed since the first word of the single surfaced. Either that or it will be released in two different versions. The new version will include a live version of "Spirit in the Night" from the Barcelona 2002 show, "The Rising" from the MTV Video Music Awards, and a DVD of the "Lonesome Day" video. Read more

Tomorrow night's show in Austin has been postponed and rescheduled to March 2, 2003. Clarence Clemons has been admitted to hospital to undergo surgery for a detached retina. His condition is not a serious one, but needs immediate attention. It is not yet known if this will affect more shows beyond Austin. Read more

Just like the last two years Bruce showed up at the annual Light of Day benefit show at Tradewinds in Sea Bright, NJ. First Bruce jumped on stage with Joe Grushecky and helped his old pal out on songs like "Boom Boom", "Fire", and "The Twist". Later he also joined Gary US Bonds for his set and added his touch to "Jole Blon", "Quarter to Three" and "Havin' a Party". The show benefitted the Parkinson Disease Foundation. Read more

In less than three hours 100,000 tickets for two shows at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden, had sold out. In a news article in Svenska Dagbladet, the concert promotor calls it the fastest selling tickets in Northern Europe ever. Shows in Helsinki and Oslo also sold out within an hour. Read more

Back in the States once again, Bruce continued the tour last night in Dallas. The show was the first on the tour without "Worlds Apart". In its place the Dallas crowd got "Further on Up the Road". The encores featured a duet with Don Henley on the old Crickets cover, "I Fought the Law", not played by Bruce since the Born in the USA Tour. Quite a setlist it was. Read more
