First show in New Zealand

More guest stars in another unusual show

Four tour premieres and three guest stars. Bruce is getting more and more unpredictable as the tour progresses. Last night in Miami, the disbelieving hardcore fans in attendance witnessed the tour premieres of "Out in the Street", "Because the Night", "So Young and in Love", and "If I Should Fall Behind". During "Because the Night" Bono of U2 and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics joined Bruce on stage, and Dion added his vocals to "If I Should Fall Behind". Read more
   

Australian shows trickling in

Dates for an upcoming Australian tour have started to float around various Australian news media and on the Internet. The Herald Sun in Melbourne says that a show at the Telstra Dome on March 20 has been confirmed by Springsteen. Also shows on the Sydney Cricket Ground on March 22 and ANZ Stadium in Brisbane on March 25 look like done deals according to the Courier Mail. Another old war horse dug out

A few days ago it was the "Detroit Medley". Last night in Tampa, Florida, another one of those encore war horses from the days of yore was brought out for another dance: "Twist and Shout" rounded off a show that had already apparently ended with "Ramrod". It was the first version of "Twist and Shout" since June 1, 1993, and the first one with the E Street Band since 1988. Check out what else was played. Read more
   

Mindblowing setlist in Orlando

Fans at last night's show in Orlando were treated to no less than three tour premieres, including the classic "Detroit Medley" which made its first appearance since 1988. But first Bruce had tour debuted "It's Hard to Be a Saint in the City" and "Human Touch". The latter replaced "Countin' on a Miracle", the first time this Rising staple was sacrificed. "The Promise" was also back in the set, for the first time in the US on the tour. Read more
   

Emmylou Harris joins Bruce in Birmingham

Country star Emmylou Harris joined Bruce and Patti at last night's show in Birmingham, Alabama, for a beautiful acoustic rendition of "My Hometown". Prior to that Bruce had tour-debuted "Darlington County" complete with World Trade Center reference. Read more
   

Clarence to celebrate new album

November 29 will be a busy day for Clarence Clemons. At 1 PM he will sign his new album, recorded live at the Stone Pony in 2001, at the Antic Hay Books and SulliStudios in Asbury Park where there will also be a photo exhibition by Stone Pony staff photographer John Kavanaugh. Later the same day Clarence and his band will perform live at the Paramount Theatre, also in Asbury Park. Read more
   

"Cadillac Ranch" debuted in Charlotte

One tour premiere and an accident that could have been serious. That's the quick sum up of last night's show in Greensboro. "Cadillac Ranch" was performed for the first time on the tour in the wild card slot before "Worlds Apart". But maybe "I'm Goin' Down" which was soundchecked earlier in the day would have been more appropriate. Because during "Waitin' on a Sunny Day" Bruce slipped from the ramp behind the stage and fell down behind Max's drum kit. He got up again quickly, but with a visible bruise on his arm. Bruce continued unaffected though and completed this 23 song set. Read more
   

"Streets of Fire" played in Lexington

Bruce is not done with the surprises on this tour. At last night's show in Lexington he pulled out the last of Darkness songs that hasn't been played during the last two tours: "Streets of Fire"! In fact, the song hasn't been played since the last show of the Darkness Tour on January 1, 1979. The show also featured the return of "Glory Days" and "Racing in the Street". Read more
   

Two more shows added in Germany

Hamburg and Munich have been added to the tour itinerary for June next year. Bruce and the band will play at the Olympic Stadium in Munich on June 10, and at the Hamburger AOL Arena two days later. Read more
