More than perhaps any other performer of his status, Bruce Springsteen is known for getting on stage when and where you least expect it. At other times these unannounced appearances are no great secret, but to this date Bruce continues to delight the fans by showing up at a friend's show at a local club, or at a stadium with some other superstar artist or band. There have been years when spontaneous Springsteen appearances happened on a weekly basis while other years they have been completely absent.
